Twenty years after releasing their debut album, Czech pagan black metal duo Svardenvyrd return with both humility and resolve to revisit their first work.

Obyčej slunovratu (Solstice Rite) has undergone a purification the sound is now deeper, clearer, and more atmospheric, yet still raw and authentic. Like fog lifting to reveal a familiar landscape shining in a new light. Every drumbeat, every riff breathes more powerfully now, without losing the original blood. The album is conceptually divided into the four seasons, with each track representing one. All lyrics are written as poetry, which remains rare in the black metal genre. The opening acoustic guitar tones draw the listener into the atmosphere of
forests and ancient rituals. Expect strong melodies, dynamic contrasts, and emotional expression for instance, the track Summer Blaze builds from a calm pace into a gripping crescendo with powerful drums and returns to acoustic textures in the finale. Each song develops its own narrative, flowing naturally between delicate acoustic moments and harsher metal passages, while maintaining a strong pagan identity.
