Arimanius Ignis Ater (Black Flame of Ahriman) - new split album by Corona Barathri (Ilya Za'am and Alexandra Fauho, Russia) & Akhtya (Michael W. Ford, USA). The sonic rituals are dedicated to the Avestan sinister aspects and ancient Persian demonology.
This rituals is an exaltation of Ahriman by ritual invocations as a method of entry into the Imaginal world. Each recording is a deeper call into the depths of Duzakh with the liminal abyss culminating in Anaštīh, a Pahlavi (Avestan) word translating “discord”, “enmity”, and essentially “Chaos” by the powers inherently worshipped as energy manifest as Daevas.
“Zoroastrian Duzakh (Hell) is that it is the abode of Ahriman, the Daevas, and the Drujes. Duzakh is visualized as a deep abyssic well, considered terrifying as it is of the darkest black, very narrow at sections going down. In Zoroastrian dualism, all elemental and atmospheric destructive occurrences in the cycles of nature, as well as natural disasters as associated with deriving from Duzakh including cold, burning heat, snow, rain, etc.
For the Yatu, the opposition of Paitisha and Ahriman’s Adversarial power can motivate, inspire, strengthen, and cultivate the survival of the fittest self-evolution for those who embrace the balance of the Ahrimanic Gnosis.
Duzakh was composed and arranged in ritualistic and meditative sessions to conceptualize a journey by sound and the imagination, Duzakh existing both in the mind and outside beyond the veils of physical life, an Adversarial counter-bridge (referring to the Zoroastrian rainbow bridge leading the Mazdean worshipping dead into the blinding nothingness of Ohrmazd’s selfless light) which aligns the subconscious energies of darkness to influence connections. This unveiling intuitive dreamlike journeytowards the Chaos of Anaghra Temah (literally ‘Endless Darkness’; the underworld of the Kingdom of Ahriman that is the infernal chaos of the daevas).”
